Actor Rick Moranis is established to appear in the forthcoming new film from the “Honey, I Shrunk the Young ones” film universe, a resource shut to the make any difference tells CNN.
The new film, titled “Shrunk,” will star Josh Gad.
Disney has not officially commented on the specifics of the movie’s plot or casting and did not instantly return an e-mailed ask for for remark from CNN.
“This was genuinely a team work,” Gad wrote on Twitter. “But the conclusion outcome is that sure, Rick Moranis is back again and I (and clearly a large amount of other men and women) could not be happier.”
“Honey, I Shrunk the Young ones” was introduced in 1989 and starred Moranis as a partner, father and inventor whose experimental shrinking equipment accidentally turns his youngsters and two young neighbors into miniature variations of on their own.
The film spawned two sequels — “Honey, I Blew Up the Kid” and “Honey, We Shrunk Ourselves.”
Moranis experienced a run of hits in the course of the ’80s and ’90s, starring in movies like “Parenthood,” “Spaceballs,” “Small Store of Horrors,” and the “Ghostbusters” franchise.
